Tweed

We really have tweed in Me & Henry - for kids? Ohhhhh yes indeed.

Tweed is actually a fabric that is known for its resistance to moisture and durability; and as a result, it was often used as informal outerwear in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and especially Scotland.

Often used for outdoor activities such as shooting and hunting because of its ability to survive adverse weather conditions. Not things little lads do these days but it has a great heritage and screams British! Which is why we love it.

Usually a plain weave, twill, or herringbone but often before the yarn is spun, coloured wool is often added which when mixed in produces a variety of color effects on the fabric.
